Emely Varosky

Emely Varosky is an illustrator + graphic designer + writer.

+ Optimist

+ Drinker of coffee

+ Mama (of 5 cats)

+ Stepmom (of 2 humans)

+ Wife (of 1 human) (as you might expect)

Her art is inspired by all of the above. Cats, family and positive messages come whimsically to life though her cute cartoon style. Her illustrations — digital, watercolor, or ink — can be found in her Etsy shop and on mugs, purses, notebooks and more at Society6 and Zazzle.

She's been a layout designer at The Herald News in Fall River since graduating from Lasell College in 2010, and has earned several awards for her graphic design work from the New England Newspaper & Press Association.

As a stepmom and an artist, she writes a weekly blog — about art stuff every other week, and stepmomming stuff the weeks in between. Her writing also includes a fantasy novel called "Trythian" that's on her website, and she's planning to "someday" get published.

She views art as a medium to find positivity in everyday life — Positivity that encourages you to love the little things. To find new adventures (even if that just means snuggling on the couch with fluffy socks and your cats). To do whatever it is you've been meaning to get around to "someday."
