In this episode, Heather interviews KC Mancebo, artist manager and CEO of Clamorhouse & Clamorhouse Kids.

How a devastating loss spurred KC to reevaluate her career in fashion and led her into the music world launching the Spice Girls.

From Brittney Spears to K-Pop festivals, helping people identify with the music they love and creating memories is the driving force behind KCs work branding artists and producing events. 

“I got really focused on it when I started working with the Whole Planet Foundation. “

After years working in the music management industry, KC began working with the Whole Planet Foundation and helped food brands and the music world come together for philanthropic purposes. 

"We ended up talking to Food Network and figured out how to shoot the show during COVID." 

KCs work managing the Potash Twins and shooting The Takeout Twins during COVID and how things are starting to transition back to live. 

"We're hoping to open it up to fundraisers." 

After losing her home to the fires, KC and her husband are rebuilding it as a tribute to her late father-in-law, architect Irving Tobocman, and their plans to use it as an event venue as well as a home. 

"I am the proud mother of pretty incredible people."  

KC's 16 year old daughter Zoe launched the charity Queens in Need to support drag queens during COVID.

KC Mancebo 

KC Mancebo has worked in the entertainment industry in a wide range of disciplines. She has been an entertainment licensing agent for consumer products, a publisher, and an artist manager. Most recently, KC has been working as a festival producer, and venue consultant. As an artist manager and CEO of Clamorhouse & Clamorhouse Kids, KC Mancebo helps her clients maneuver through today’s rapidly changing entertainment industry environment, as she is called on to develop new ways to Implement strategic partnerships and sponsor/talent relationships. KC started her career in business importing, designing, and manufacturing in the fashion industry. Her understanding of consumer product development served her well as an entertainment licensing agent when she was called upon to design and develop a wide range of tour merchandise for Christina Aguilera, the Spice Girls, the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and N’Sync, as well as a product lines for Warner Brothers, Sony, Universal, and DIC and independent films and bands. 

After many years as an agent, KC decided to take on recording artists to manage, built a children’s record label, and moved into prominence as a producer of major Los Angeles events including The L.A. Film Festival’s weeklong music lounge and Family Day, Kids Rock Music and Ecology Festivals, The Grammy Children’s Concert, Whole Foods Whole Planet Foundation’s Pre- Grammy party and SXSW concerts, CJ America’s K-Pop festival - KCON, Wake Up With The Waves at the Santa Monica Pier, and SXSW events for Caesar’s Entertainment and The Miles Davis House. KC is also talent buyer and consultant for several music industry groups. venues, and festivals throughout the United States including ASCAP, The Recording Academy, The Government of Canada, Grand Performances, and Teragram Ballroom. With knowledge, creativity, and experience in so many aspects of commerce and logistics, and with excellent interpersonal skills, plus a deep roster of contacts, Ms. Mancebo has gained the trust of artist, vendors, clients, and nonprofits and a sterling reputation as a dedicated workhorse who puts her shoulder as well as heart into her work. KC sits on The Advisory Board of The Plant Based Network and Shape Up US and The Board of Directors of Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum, XLive, and The Venice Art Walk. 

KC is currently raising two daughters with her husband David Tobocman, who is a composer and producer.
